Frequently Asked Questions
What age groups do you accept for enrollment?
We welcome students beginning at age 8 who are ready for serious, structured ballet training. Our program is designed for dancers who are committed to developing strong technical foundations and growing artistically over time. Because our curriculum is focused on professional preparation, we assess each student’s readiness through placement classes rather than solely by age. This ensures that each dancer is placed in the level that best supports their progress and potential.
Do students need prior ballet experience to join?
While prior experience is beneficial, it is not required for all levels. We accept students who demonstrate a genuine interest in classical ballet and are willing to commit to the demands of disciplined training. New students without prior experience will be evaluated during their placement class to determine the most appropriate starting level. Our faculty is experienced in bringing dedicated beginners up to speed through careful instruction and encouragement.
Are performances part of the training program?
Yes, performances are an integral part of our conservatory training. We believe that stage experience is essential for developing confidence, artistry, and presence. Students have the opportunity to participate in seasonal showcases, full-length ballets, and community outreach performances. These productions are thoughtfully designed to reflect the values and technical standards of the school, offering students meaningful opportunities to grow as performers.
