A George Balanchine Tribute School.
DFW's Preeminent Ballet School in North Texas.

Welcome to St. Matthew’s Conservatory of Classical Dance, the preeminent choice for North Texas families seeking exceptional ballet training rooted in a uniquely American tradition. Our unparalleled faculty proudly teaches the Balanchine technique—the only ballet method born in America and developed by George Balanchine, often called the “father of American ballet.” As a patriotic studio, we honor this legacy and the values that guide us, including the inspiring message of Matthew 5:14.Our structured coursework goes beyond dance, nurturing the whole dancer—body, mind, and spirit—and preparing students to shine on stages around the world. Serving Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville, and the greater DFW area, we are committed to cultivating disciplined, passionate, and well-rounded artists.

Welcome. I’d like to tell you a little story about a place that doesn’t quite fit the mold, and was never meant to. Here, we don’t teach dance to pass the time. We form dancers. Serious ones. Artists who are hungry to grow. Hungry to work. We call it a conservatory, because that’s exactly what it is. A quiet place. A focused place. A place where beauty is built, day by day, from the inside out. Our roots trace back to the great George Balanchine, the architect of American ballet. And while our training is elite, our heart is humble. Because we believe something powerful: That talent is a gift from God. And discipline and care is our response.
We’re not in the business of glitter and trophies. We’re in the work of shaping artists, artists with poise, character, and light. If your child is serious about ballet, or if they’re ready to discover how serious they can become. We invite you to take the first step. Auditions are now open for our Fall/Winter semester. Scholarships are available for students with heart, promise, and drive. Again this isn’t a dance studio, it's a conservatory of dance. 🌟Our motto is Matthew 5:14 and we invite all young dance artists to “Be the Light”
